Max Whittaker and Brendan Hoffman both received Awards of Excellence from the 78th Pictures of the Year International. Whittaker was recognized in the National/International News Picture Story category for his coverage of California’s devastating wildfires. Hoffman’s work on the Indus River for National Geographic Magazine was noted in the Science and Natural History Picture Story category.
